Welcome to the composing team of Chasing Muscial Dreams. It’s artists and founders are Durand Abraham and David Bailey. Our mission is to composer beautiful music with lyrics that always carry a strong positive message. In today’s musical landscape it’s hard to find a composing team that is motivated to inspire it’s audience rather then to simply entertain them with the latest passing fade or trends. Our repertoire of music covers various styles from positive anthems of self-inspiration, to heart felt farewells, to duets with expression of compassionate love, and even to commission requested song that are tailored creations with songs designed to educate and enlighten its listener for various public needs such as songs for inaugural events.
Our music collaborations have reached, motivated and inspired audiences of all ages. Some of Our musical pieces have been featured in various public settings and for wide variety events to include weddings, school graduations, pageants and program.
Together they have an incredible gift in composing, designing and creating positive messages that are layered with absolutely beautiful music that truly does captures the essence of emotion asked of in the lyric and is translated musically like very few composers can. Some of the works are truly undiscovered masterpieces.
Mr. Abraham is the composer of our music. He is truly a gifted and talented musician, composer and producer. He is from South Africa where he began his career teaching music to students who are profoundly deaf. He is a Fulbright Scholar and a recipient of the FOYSA Award for Four Outstanding Young South Africans. He was a finalist for the Cultural Educator of Year Award, and recently he was awarded the Teacher of the Year. A musician, composer, and producer in his own right, his CD Back to Love enjoyed success on the South African music charts. Mr. Abraham teaches music history, composition, performance, to a public school system.
Mr. Bailey is our lyrist. He has a love and passion for beautiful music that conveys honest and sincere messages that are filled with the soaring vocals, lavish arrangements traced with strings, keyboards and layered with dramatic crescendos. He has an enact ability to express emotion with words unlike few other lyrists of today. He truly has a way with words. And is able to use words in such a way that it complements the music, helps make the song memorable and attracts the attention of the most discriminating of listeners. He works well with others and is knowledgeable about various song forms and music styles.
Together David and Durand are a dynamic musical team that has an enormously bright musical future together. The music chemistry between these two is “magic in motion.”
